When is the best time to go to Walt Disney World OR Disneyland?Honestly, there is never a time to not go to Disney. With that being said, it really depends on your ideal time to travel, your availability to travel, and the events that are happening at Disney during your selected travel window. Since there are so many factors to play in to planning a Disney vacation, we have provided a few extra details below for both Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California. Walt Disney Word: The weather can be a factor when planning to go to WDW. Summer trips can include the high levels of humidity and high temperatures in the upper 90s in June -August. Crowds can fluctuate depending on the season. Spring Break, summer, and holidays are going to be more crowded. The best times to visit are between February-April and October-November (temperatures are typically comfortable during these times). Disneyland: Weather can be unpredictable. Make sure to look at the historical average high and low temperatures for the select travel dates you plan to visit. Here is a great resource to check out temperatures and precipation chances for Anaheim, CA: Climate Charts page for Anaheim, CA OR Fullerton average weather on Weatherbase (has more information). Fullerton is close to Anaheim and the weather is essentially the same. Crowds fluctuate depending on holidays, seasons, and weekends. The times to visit are typically between September-December (except during holiday weeks), second week of January-March (except holiday weeks), and weekdays.

How far out should I plan my Walt Disney World vacation?There is no set rule. You are welcome to plan a Disney trip at any time. However, we have included some helpful tips for more specific guidelines on planning in advance: **One Year (up to 499 days in advance): 1 week vacations or longer Nine Months: 1 week vacations Six Months: 5 – 6 day vacations or less **It is important to note that Disney Hotel Only Reservations can be made up to 499 days in advance. Disney Vacation Packages can be booked up to 360 days in advance .

How far in advance can I buy tickets to Walt Disney World?Disney World park tickets can be purchased 180-360 days in advance. We typically see tickets for the next year released in June of the current year.

How far in advance can I purchase Disneyland tickets?You can purchase tickets for Disneyland up to 120 days in advance. If you have the Disneyland Magic Key Annual Passes can make park reservations 90 days before the day you hope to visit.

How far out should I plan my Disneyland vacation?Reservations at Disneyland hotels can be made up to four months in advance.

How do reservations work at Disney?For both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, you will need to have purchased tickets to reserve a spot at one of the Disney parks. Here is a little more on how reservations work at each park: Walt Disney World: With a purchased ticket, you will need to reserve a spot at one of the Disney parks for the day. For example, if you have 3 day single park tickets, you will need to reserve one park for each day. So let's say you want to go to Animal Kingdom on Monday-you have to make a park reservation and select Animal Kingdom for the specific day you want to visit. If you have a park hopper option, you are able to park hop starting at 2pm (this is subject to change. So let's say you go to Epcot and you want to park hop to Magic Kingdom for the evening, you will be able to park hop starting at 2pm (just make sure you have a park hopper ticket). All updates are posted on Disney's Park Hopper Calendar and in the MyDisneyExperience app). Disneyland: For Disneyland, you will need to reserve a spot at one of the Disney Parks (Disney's California Adventure or Disneyland) for the day. If you have a park hopper option, you will be able to park hop starting at 11am. How many days should I plan for Disney?Here at KaChow Travels-A Gateway Travel Partner, we say everyday should be a Disney day! Realistically we recommend between 4-7 days, but we recognize that not all families may be able to take a trip of that length. Small weekend trips can be a great way to travel to Disney too!

What parking fees should I plan for on my Disney trip?Walt Disney World: Here are some things to keep in mind about fees when traveling to WDW, parking fees if you are driving or taking a rental car (you will be charged a per-day fee for parking. This parking fee covers you for parking in the parks as well, this means that if you drive to the resorts and drive to the parks, you’ll only pay once for parking).

Should I stay on Disney property during my stay?There are benefits to staying on Disney property such as great amenities, multiple resort dining options, pools, and transportation to the parks. There are also resort hotels for everyone on every budget. Walt Disney World: There are three levels of resort options that include value, moderate, and deluxe. Value resorts are the least expensive, but they offer great amenities, pools, and bus transportation to the parks. Moderate resorts and Deluxe resorts have larger rooms with more amenities and more intricate details through the resort. Moderate and Deluxe resorts also offer larger pool areas, more resort dining options, and variety in transportation options (Skyliner, Boat, Bus, and Monorail). Disneyland: There are three hotel options on property including Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, the Disneyland Hotel, and the former Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel (this is being renovated and will reopen as Pixar Place Hotel). Each hotel is within walking distance to the parks. What is the best way to get from the airport to Walt Disney World OR Disneyland?Walt Disney World: There are some great options for getting to and from WDW. The Mears shuttle, traditional taxi cabs, Uber, Lyft, and private car services are all great options. Shuttle bus and private car service need to be booked in advance. Disneyland: There are some great options for getting to and from Disneyland. These options include the LAX Metro (bus and rail line option), shuttles, private car services, Lyft, Karmel shuttle.

What is the best age for visiting Disney?Here at KaChow Travels-A Gateway Travel Partner we believe that you can visit Disney at any age!! For kids, visiting Disney is best for ages 4 and up because they will likely be able to ride more rides and experience more in the parks. Please keep in mind that your child may not meet some ride requirements for certain rides with the park. We have compiled a list of rides with height requirements for you to help you plan.

Do I need a park reservation?No, you do not need a park reservation. However, please keep in mind that if one of the parks reaches capacity during a busy day you may not be able to enter that park. This can happen at Volcano Bay, especially during the summer months and holidays.

How many parks are at Universal Orlando?There are currently 3 main parks including Volcano Bay Water Park, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Orlando. Right outside the entrances to both Islands of Adventure and Universal Orlando, you can also experience the CityWalk which has multiple shops and restaurants. *It is important to note that we are anxiously anticipating the opening of a new park at Universal that is slated to open in 2025, Epic Universe.

What are my hotel options for traveling to Universal Orlando?There are plenty of great onsite hotel options at Universal including Cabana Bay Beach Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, Universal's Dockside Inn, Universal's Adventura Hotel, Universal's Surfside Inn and Suites, Lowes Sapphire Falls Resort,Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and Loews Portofino Bay Resort. Do I need a Park-to-Park Ticket to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?That depends on whether you want to visit both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. If you plan on only visiting one of these attractions during your visit then no. If you prefer to visit both, then the answer is yes. A park-to-park ticket is required to go to both during your park visit if you are planning to go to both in one day. If you would like to go to both attractions, but on different days you could opt to get single park tickets instead. However, keep in mind that if you want to ride the Hogwarts Express, you will need a Park-to-Park ticket.

What are the ticket options for Universal Studios Hollywood?There are a few different ticket options: General Admission tickets: good for one day admission (including rides, shows, and attractions) Universal Express: express line entry for rides and includes a one time reserved entry to Super Nitendo World (note: does not include express entry to Mario Cart: Bowser's Challenge) VIP Experience: The VIP experience lets you go behind the scenes to visit closed sets on the backlot, and you'll also get escorted priority access to all rides, shows, and attractions.
